Spoil Your Vote!

I am laughing my arse off at the moment, because these awful people, our Members of Parliament have been exposed for the shallow, self obsessed people that they are.
The majority of our MP's are not in Government to represent their local area and local people, they are there to elevate their own status and boost their own career and ego.

Why are these people allowed to represent areas that they don't even come from or care deeply about?

Its a sham and I am pleased they have been shown for what they truly are.

I will not be voting for any of these idiots, but i will vote.
I will 'spoil' my ballot paper so that it is counted but not counted towards any prospective candidate.

I would encourage you to do the same in the next elections.

To claim expenses for repairs to their moat, tennis court and food is a disgrace (amongst others).
I am not for anarchy as that is shit and would get a little boring after everyone has lost everything they have and love, but i am for extreme fundamental change to the Government of this country.
The Government should stand down, all parties should give up and a Government made up of people who want to look after this country and work together to resolve our problems should be formed.
Not a House made up of parties slagging off each others ideas just because they are a different party.
Have they forgotten what their job is?
To represent the people. Which should be an honour and a privilege, not a meal ticket.
They are all tossers and they don't represent me.

Don't vote for nobody, don't vote for a party you don't know or understand.
Spoil your ballot.

Show them they are not wanted and that change is wanted now.

I agree on everything you said except the "don't vote" part - after all, when you don't vote anymore, you can't complaign any more either.
As for my (ex) bf who misses some initiative, I'm afraid I disagree - initiative is a quality that is not natural, you build it up with time, with maturity. I'm still stunned when I meet men who are in their 30s (most of my bfs are) and who actually behave like kids. If I usually go out with older men, it's precisely because I want them to be more like men.

I don't believe a vote "thrown away" is really without impact. The impact is that an uncompromising philosophy is at work in the world.

in the euro elections, many people stayed away and many chose to vote for another party other than what was the majority - Labour.

scarily, many people chose racist BNP party.
i hard times people start to blame others, it becomes a witch hunt.

personally, i wish they would all resign and only people living in a particular area could stand to be elected to represent the people of that area.
i dont want some toff who wants an easy seat to stand for election in my town.
