Another bank falls, the new great depression begins!

Yet another financial bombshell to hit the world markets.
Lehman Bros falls, causing a tidewave of job losses and billions of dollars lost.
Millions of peoples mortgages are now up in the air.

It isn't the first and it aint gonna be the last.

Apparently 'AIG' and airlines Air Berlin and Air Italia are due next.
Mass unemployment is coming.

In the U.K this is called the 'Credit Crunch', to me this sounds fairly tame.
To me it should be called something grander, like 'The Reckoning' or 'The Peak Oil Disaster'

I suspect bread will be £2 / $4 dollars a loaf tomorrow?

The banks are running out of money, the airlines can't fly because they can't afford the fuel, and Kevin Keegan has left Newcastle United.
What a sad state of affairs we are now in.

Its all about 'Peak Oil' people, and its kicking in and biting everyone on the ass.
Search my blog for my article on 'The End of the Oil Age.'
This is what is causing it all and you better be prepared, because the next couple of years will be a bumpy ride. Strap yourself in, and be prepared, because those who are not will be the first to fall.

Get out of whatever debts you have, and spend what money you have wisely, you may need every dollar you have soon!
Cover your arse, thats all I am saying.

Does it affect you, have you felt it yet?
Or will it all settle down soon, i'd like to know your comments?
Have we hit a peak of global consuption, or have we still got more Ipods and Plasma screens to buy?

5 reasons why Nickleback suck!

Nickleback - are what is wrong with music today.

1. The name. surely a better name could be found.
makes me think of a fish or sticklebricks.

2. Chad Kroeger - The man, the beard and the mullet. The 80's never passed these guys by, they're still in them, circa 1987.

3. Rockstar - to be fair this is there best song, and i even found myself liking it at first, but i couldn't accept that i could like anything by Nickleback and promptly got it out of my system. Unfortunatly DFS furniture store now use this for their daily adverts on TV, and now i just feel like bricking the telly every time i hear it.

4. Nickleback are the soundtrack to 'Second Life', not officially, but wherever i go on second life, all i hear streaming is Nickleback. Yes it is sad to be on Second Life, but its even sadder to be there with these bastards.

5. They are shit.

EDF - gas and electricity price hike!!!

Here we go again, yet another fuel price hike, and this is a big one.
Approx 22% rise on duel fuel bills with immediate effect.
The company still make large profits, which i am sure their shareholders will wish them to maintain.
If the Tory government under Magaret Thatcher had not privatised every British industry, i am sure we would not yet be under as much financial pressure as we are now with our crazy household bills.
At least if the industry was still government controlled i am sure that profits would not have been the first thing that the industry think of, and perhaps the nations struggling people would be the first person thought of.
At the moment nobody has noticed it yet, but when those bills come in after christmas, it will suddenly dawn on them. Its only going to get worse.
Invest in oil as it will be worth more than gold soon!

'Fuel Poverty' is a term i heard today, this describes the situation people are in when they spend 10% of their annual income on heating and lighting. Scary.

Where all f*$£@d!

Peak Oil - The End of the 'Oil Age'

So, it draws near. We are at the brink of collapse!
Millions carry on with their daily lives with not a care in the world.

We have hit 'Peak Oil' the point at which our fuel cannot be extracted as easy and the supplies start to dwindle. A scary moment, because we all rely on oil so much.
Once its gone, its gone.

My computer that i am powering to type this blog is fed by electricity created by oil, my food that i ate today was cooked by oil, my car that i drove to the shops today is powered by oil, the food in the shop was transported by oil etc....
Take away all the fuel and everything moves back to the Middle Ages only worse!

The huge growth in the human population and demand for food is at its highest ever, when the fuel runs out, where and how will this food be transported to the people? With difficulty.
The populations will panic as the food runs out, food riots have already begun around the world and they are getting closer to your doorstep!. Civilisation will break up and the human race will descend into chaos. Only the strongest and ruthless will survive.

Today:
First things first, today the fuel is rocketing, and this will not get any cheaper. Infact soon it will become out of reach for the common man, making businesses go bust due to transport costs and mass unemployment leading to record crime levels.

Commuting to work will soon be a thing of the past, those lucky enough to have a job will only work from their home or in their home town.

Of course as we can all see, rising fuel costs has led to rising food costs, once mass unemployment begins, food will become an issue for all as there will only be so much food available cheap, let alone as the supplies start to dwindle. Your 32 pence tin of beans will no longer exist and soon will be looked upon as a luxury.
Infact forget that last sentence, it will be viewed as a neccessity.

People need to pressure and educate people now, we are on the brink, but we can change the way we live if as a species we want to live on.
Hi-tech gadgets will be thing of the past soon unless we realise that immediate change is required now.

I am not a fan of nuclear power and I certainly would not want a power station on my doorstep, but we need as many of these built now around the UK and rest of the world, with the coast primed with wind farms as far as the eye can see. Places like the Moors or anywhere on a hill will need to have these windfarms built and fast, because we all use so much electricity and petrol, once the oil goes we could not support what we have now at all.

We cant expect our neighbours to help us out, as they will have there own to look after.

Expect a new cold war, with countries arming themselves to the max, as only the strongest will survive this, with many millions of casualties.

Tommorrow:
If we take action now, our future will be from the land and localised community. Everybody will be expected to grow food and trade. We will still live in our homes but these will be our shelters, no more tv and nintendo wii's, just wind up or solar radios and cold baths!
Cars will be a thing of the past, only emergency food rationing transport will be allowed.
We will need to stop our technological advances and go back a few hundred years, learn old skills and harness what we can from the land , water and sun.

I never expected this in my lifetime, but it is coming and I will see it. I am seeing it now.
Look at the front pages of all the newspapers, open your eyes.
Search the internet, read up on this issue then crap your pants.

Press the people at the top to deal with this issue now, because its moving faster than we are and I hope we can catch it back up!

Its bigger than any issue out there, but people are still to blind to see or too stupid to listen.
It must be resolved now, for our children to live in a world, not to survive and scavenge.

Perhaps, i am being too much of a scare mongerer, maybe i should be wearing an A-board sign with ' the end is nigh' printed upon it?
Or am i being a realist in a world that is about to make its biggest change in its history. Yes, I am scared, very scared infact, I just want us to do something and at least put up a fight when we make our last stand.
The 'Oil Age' is drawing to an end, what the next era of mankind will be I do not know, but I do hope its the 'Green Age' and not the next 'Dark Age'.
