SuBo - Britains Not Got Talent - Susan Boyle ' The Hairy Angel'

I am so fed up with the endless onslaught of reality tv.
Are we so easily pleased to watch 'Britain Exploits The Mentally Challenged', 'Pop Idol' and 'X-Factor'?
Fair enough, have talent contests, but as one ends another begins, and the winner is touted as the next big thing, then gets to number one in the charts then disappears from sight.

If these talents were 'that' good, they would have longevity and success.
All they seem to do is sing the songs that are written for them and smile.

If somebody wants to make it big, if they can do it without the embarrassment of a tv talent show, then they will certainly have much more credibility in the publics eyes.

I feel pity for Susan Boyle, essentially a national joke.
I hope she calls her debut album, - The Hairy Angel.

Steel Panther - 'Death To All But Metal' video

Steel Panther - 'Death To All But Metal'

Metal is back and in a big glam way.
Steel Panther, the US's own version of 'The Darkness' are here to kick ass!
Because Youtube sucks at the moment not allowing music videos you will need to look hard for this one, but lastfm have it! click on the link below.

They have performed with Tom Morello, Justin Hawkins and Juliette Lewis to name a few.
If you have a look at the pictures of them, one of them looks incredibly like Flea from the Chilli Peppers ( i think this is a coincidence)

This video is intended for adults only and should only be viewed by people over the age of 18. If you are not 18 go and check out the Miley Cyrus website.

Spoil Your Vote!

I am laughing my arse off at the moment, because these awful people, our Members of Parliament have been exposed for the shallow, self obsessed people that they are.
The majority of our MP's are not in Government to represent their local area and local people, they are there to elevate their own status and boost their own career and ego.

Why are these people allowed to represent areas that they don't even come from or care deeply about?

Its a sham and I am pleased they have been shown for what they truly are.

I will not be voting for any of these idiots, but i will vote.
I will 'spoil' my ballot paper so that it is counted but not counted towards any prospective candidate.

I would encourage you to do the same in the next elections.

To claim expenses for repairs to their moat, tennis court and food is a disgrace (amongst others).
I am not for anarchy as that is shit and would get a little boring after everyone has lost everything they have and love, but i am for extreme fundamental change to the Government of this country.
The Government should stand down, all parties should give up and a Government made up of people who want to look after this country and work together to resolve our problems should be formed.
Not a House made up of parties slagging off each others ideas just because they are a different party.
Have they forgotten what their job is?
To represent the people. Which should be an honour and a privilege, not a meal ticket.
They are all tossers and they don't represent me.

Don't vote for nobody, don't vote for a party you don't know or understand.
Spoil your ballot.

Show them they are not wanted and that change is wanted now.

witches? unexplained?

I was reading another blog when it reminded me of a few things i saw as a child.
I know they were not dreams as i remembered them so accurately, they were imprinted in my head and i have never forgotten them.

1: Firstly, in the middle of the night, probably when i was about 5 or 6 years old, i got up because I couldn't sleep. I walked across the landing area to the bathroom, then when I walked back across I looked over at the window at the top of the stairs to see women flying past my window.
Not just a couple, at least 10 - 20 just flying past, at various distances to me.
I wasn't scared because I knew they were good people or at least felt this, but I didnt know why it was happening.
I stayed routed to the spot, it seemed like ages, but I am sure it was only for 1 minute or more.
I told my sister about it, she said they where her friends?

2: My sister told me she had a trick for me. My parents were out and she was looking after me. Again I was young, probably about 6 or 7. She told me to draw two paper doors. I had to stick one on the wall in our bathroom and one on the other side of the corresponding wall in the bedroom. She said that she would lock herself in the bathroom and that I was to build a stack of toys and objects in front of the bathroom door that would fall if she opened the door. She walked in the bathroom and locked the door. I proceeded to stack chairs from rooms, toys, teddies and anything that I could find until access out from the bathroom would be a nightmare for anyone. The objects that I built in front of the door could not be restacked, and would fall down if the door was opened. It would be obvious if someone moved them.
I was then told to go downstairs and count to 50 then come back up.
I counted to 50 then ran upstairs to the bathroom door. Everything was as I had left it. I tryed the door and it was locked. I knew she was trying to see if she could get out but obviously hadn't. I told her I had won, but she didn't reply. Then I heard her call that she was in the bedroom. I walked in the bedroom, and she wasn't there, although the paper door on the wall still was. Then a shock of fear ran through me, she had grabbed my leg from underneath the bed.
I jumped about 10 foot. I looked under the bed and she was hiding there.
How she did this I did not ever find out, and she cannot even remember this event happening.
She told me to go downstairs again and count to 50. I did this then ran back upstairs. She was no longer under the bed in the bedroom and I heard her voice from the bathroom. She unlocked the bathroom door and opened it and all my stuff that i had stacked infront of it fell into the bathroom as she opened the door. We moved all the stuff back from where I had got it and took down the paper doors that she had travelled through. She could have climbed out of the bathroom window, but she would have had to jump down off the roof and would have had to come back in the house to have done this. She would not have done this as the window was tiny and it would have been very dangerous, plus she would have had to come past me when entering the house again to get to the bedroom. I cannot explain how this was done. I presume she used the paper doors!

3. I saw a screaming face at my window.. this was scary and I nearly broke my legs running and jumping down the stairs to get to my sister. This was pure evil. Never look out of your window into the dark again!

Anyone else got any scary, unexplained stuff that they would like to share?

Nine Inch Nails July 2009

I got two standing tickets for Manchester !!!
got em presale off the NIN website, cool!

AC/DC - Manchester MEN 21st April 2009

Bloody Hell, if you thought these guys were past it then think again.

The 'RocknRoll Train' rolled into Manchester MEN arena. A place to big for most bands and a venue with the shittest sound around (really echoey) .
However AC/DC pulled it off big time ( i still would prefer to see them in a small club, but it will never happen).
Basically this was a greatest hits gig, a total crowd pleaser.
They did four off the new album 'Rock n roll train' 'War Machine', 'Big Jack' and 'Black Ice' (possibly one more) then intersperced these tracks with AC/DC gold.
At one point they did 'whole lotta rosie' followed by 'let there be rock' followed by 'highway to hell' and that wasn't even the final oncore, unbelievable.

Huge stage with a big Angus posing walkway and rising stage for Angus to solo on, with three giant screens behing them.
Some of the songs had amusing animation to go with the songs and in amongst the stage set appeared a huge inflatable 'Rosie', 'for those about to rock' cannons firing into the crowd and 'hells bell' was swung across the stage.

The band had the crowd by the balls for the entire 2 hour set, and Angus is a amazing performer and guitarist. The guy must be about late 50's by now and doesn't look like stopping.
They also sounded great amongst the monster arena's crap sound.

one of the best gigs so far for me, definatley in my top ten gigs ever!

the sisters of mercy - Leeds 8th April

DRUM MACHINES AND POWER CHORDS......

I was unsure whether i would be disappointed or pleased with this one.
I have been waiting a number of years to see the Sisters, everytime i have had the opportunity to go, a mate would always pull out of going and i could never go, so i thought i cannot miss this one.
One of the final ticks on my list of my fave bands that i had yet to see.

I just caught the end of the support, some old skool punk band who seemed to amuze the crowd, which is what you want, but no better than a pub band. the name of them escapes me, but it is no great loss.

Anyway.. the smoke machine starts billowing and on they come.

The Sisters are not the same band that they were in the early 80's, floodland era or Vision thing era, in personnel or sound. They haven't been for some time now.
As the band tore into various old tracks and 'relatively' new tracks i could see the older faces in the crowd expecting some kind of recreation of bygone days start to look exceedingly glum.
Plus people in the crowd whom have not seen or heard anything from them since the 80's had the same reaction (infact i saw at least 3 people leave).

The Sisters do not sound like they did, this is not to say that their performace was poor, in fact i thought it was great, however their lack of releasing their material written in the last ten years has in my opinion backfired as half the crowd didnt know what they now sounded like or what many of the songs where.

The guitars are all about power chords with Dr.Avalanche (drum machine) still providing the beat. A full on wall of noise. f'ing brill!

Many of the older songs sounded different, and it could be a few bars into each track before you would realise what song they where playing due to the harder edge sound that they where now playing it at and pace.
This seemed to piss the old skool goths off.

I believe that Eldrich is purposely trying to make as much distance from his past and fashion the sisters into a totally different band. He doesn't seem to want the band to be perceived as the typical stereotype goth band that they are perceived as.

Personally, i really enjoyed it, it was tainted slightly by the idiots around me complaining that this 'wasn't the sisters' etc...

They have sounded like they currently do for a number of years now.
Many of the songs played ' We are the same Suzanne', 'Top Nite Out' etc have been played for years, but because they have never had any form of physical release, the songs are only recogniseable if you have hunted them down from live bootlegs or seen them performed at other gigs. Bit of an error of judgement on Eldritch's part i believe, but then again, they don't conform to the norm either which makes them so special.

They still did old faves like 'Alice', 'Lucretia..',Dominion' Marian, 'First and Last and Always', Temple of Love etc

And i can't recall the name of the song, it is a new one but the main riff of the song rips off 'Millennium' by Killing Joke. Its good though.

I hope i see them again!

my pictures are crap (i never take a good camera, as i lost one once before at a gig)
