near meth experience

Hmm,
i am getting decidedly 'tetchy.'
The Sisters of Mercy have decided to play everywhere in the world BUT the U.K. so far!
I would not be surprised if a gig in Somalia was annouced before the U.K.

Every week there seems to be more gigs added to some place in Eastern Europe or the U.S.
I am highly considering Warsaw or Madrid.

Now i am not a betting man, but i suspect they will end up doing a pub gig in Leeds somewhere as their 'alter-ego' 'Near Meth Experience.'
This is going to 'not be' announced and should be a bugger to track down.
Keep your ears to the floor people and let us know if you hear otherwise!

obama v mccain

sorry, while i am on one, thought i would post my thoughts here.

i watched the final debate between Obama and John McCain.

please god let Obama win.
McCain is just another version of George Bush and that scares me.

His only train of thought that i could fathom was, 'god bless this great country', 'i love this country more than him' ' if you have money i will look after you'.

the horrible fake smile of McCain as he talked directly to Joe the Plumber filled me with unease.
funny thing is, it turns out that Joe the Plummer is not a registered Plumber and that he owes thousands in unpaid tax, haha.

America needs change, and because of the influence they hold over the world, i think a change is in order. Look at the mess everything is in now.

the polls say Obama is ahead, but i suspect that the undercurrent of racism will sway this election.
its sad to say it but i think race will be the overriding issue here.

Imagine the U.S voting in another President as similar as Bush, that won't happen will it?

aca daca tickets bought!

quick update!
got my ac/dc tickets yesterday!!!!!
£93 for two tickets! ouch
but should be good, although its at a crap venue, Manchester M.E.N. arena.
i will have to take some binoculars.

seen some good stuff there..sex pistols, the doors(of the 21stcentury), audioslave, rodger waters, the prodigy..

seen some bad gigs there, good bands, bad venue....the darkness, duran duran, velvet revolver

will do a revue of new Ladyhawke album soon cos its the best album i have heard this year.
fantastic, a slice of electronic, a pinch of 80's pure pop and a stirring of attitude.
buy it.

Ringo Starr = tosser!

Oh no Ringo, what the hell have you done!

I like The Beatles, i always have, this isn't just because i'm from Liverpool, its just that they wrote some amazing music.
John, Paul, George and err... well.. the three of them where an amazing and talented bunch.
Ringo Starr was in the right place at the right time.
Pete Best missed out big time!

He's not a great drummer and he can't sing for shit, but he was part of something great and as such loved by all those who love The Beatles.

To go on the internet and to tell all the people who have financed his houses, his lavish lifestyle and his tidy beard to f@*k off is quite a statement.

He has shown himself to be an out of touch idiot.
His last album that he made, he called it Liverpool 08.
This was i believe just to cash in on the Liverpool City of Culture year.
Plus he then goes and says that there is nothing that he misses about Liverpool.

Piss off Ringo, never darken our doorway again.
Your a crap drummer, but Thomas the Tank Engine was alright, i' ll give you that, but your a sad old man now, please don't take this personally as i say this with 'peace and love.'

Planet Rock Quiz

Yeah man,
i am joint leading the quiz this week.
this is for the 'Anorak' quiz they do on the Planet Rock radio show everyday just after 11.20am ish here in the U.K.

http://www.planetrock.co.uk/Article.asp?id=172770

i was gonna ring up last week, but some dude was on 8 correct answers and i wasn't going to beat that, but this Monday the dude who was on scored 3, so i thought lets have a crack at this.

On Tuesday i rang up, got through to the studio first time and i scored 4 on air, i nearly got five, but they wouldn't let me have it as the bell had gone, but it was the correct answer (name the bass player who left Metallica in 2001 - Jason Newstead).
Not a great score, infact crap, but i was in the lead, so bite me.

the guy who rang up on Wednesday got three, and todays contestant scored four.
so i presume if we are both leading tomorrow we have a head to head.

i suspect someone else will score more tomorrow but worth a go for a laugh.

if i am still top score tomorrow, you might catch me on air as they usually get the top scorer back on.

hopefully i can answer questions on DIO :)

did you know that DIO means God in Italian and that he is a fully trained Pharmacist.

wow! my head was blown by this today (thick spoon of sarcasm)

anyway a bit of excitement in my dull life this week!
